New year

Lord, as we begin this new year, help us to look to You as our hope, knowing that You are steadfast and faithful. Help us to hold onto You in every moment that we face, and to rely on You Lord. Bless our days with Your presence, our actions with Your purpose, and our hearts with Your love.

“May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us—so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.” Let Your blessings overflow, making us vessels of Your love and grace. In Your name, I pray. Amen.” Psalm 67:1-2

from Together in Prayer 2024, Palestine Acrostic

Pardon us Lord, even though we don’t deserve it.
Accept us once again as your children and
Let your light shine upon us so others may see your good works and glorify your name.
Encourage us with Your love and truth.
Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
Teach us to be able to bear with one another in love for you are a God of Agape.
In times when we are defensive, quickly offended, angry and impolite, let your Holy Spirit fill and control us so we become patient, tolerant and kind.
New beginnings are what we ask for, Father. Help us clarify and purify our intentions and be agents of change. Help sow peace where conflict divides.
Eternal God, your power is unlimited and your strength has no end. Bring to end the violence, hatred and discord in the world. Let us see your face in the faces of the people all around us and help us to demonstrate justice for all people. We pray for refugees around the world especially the people of Palestine that they will find safety wherever they are. Help us to live peacefully with one another in unity because you created us all equally.
