O Dduw ein Tad, wrth i’r Nadolig agosau, helpa ni i ddeffro o’n trwmgwsg a goleua ein meddyliau yng nghanol byd o dywyllwch a rhyfeloedd. Ceisiwn dangnefedd yn ein byd. Gwared ni rhag anghofio, yng nghanol ein digonedd, y rhai fydd yn dioddef y Nadolig hwn. Dysg I ni ein cyfrifoldeb tuag at eraill. Fe’th addolwn yr Adfent hwn gyda diolchgarwch diffuant am i Ti anfon dy fab, ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist i’n byd ar y Nadolig cyntaf. Diolchwn am enedigaeth dy Fab i’n plith. Llawenhewn nad wyt ym mhell oddi wrthym. Gad i ni ymdeimlo o’th bresenoldeb sanctaidd. Tyrd atom yr Adfent hwn mewn trugaredd a gras. Agor ein calonnau i groesawu yr un a anwyd yn Waredwr i ni, ac yn obaith i’r holl fyd. Clodforwn dy enw am i Ti, drwy dy ras, ymweld ā’n daear ni yn dy Fab ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist. Cynorthwya ni i fynd yng nghwmni’r bugeiliaid a’r doethion at ei breseb, i ryfeddu at dy drugaredd tuag atom. Cymorth ni i ddisgwyl wrthyt, ac adnewyddu ein nerth. Trwy Iesu Grist ein Harglwydd.

Almighty God, as we begin to prepare spiritually for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, be with us dear Lord in this special season. Bring us hope, peace, joy and love during these four weeks of Advent. Grant us the grace to hope in you, may our hearts be filled with the hope that comes from knowing you. In a world filled with turmoil, grant us the peace of the Prince of Peace. Fill our hearts with joy that comes from knowing your love. May we rejoice in the good news of salvation that comes through the joy with can share with others this Advent. May we approach the celebration of the birth of Jesus with the love He brought into the world, by showing love towards each other.
