World Day of Prayer

I made you wonderful

Cook Islands
Are we nearly there?

Are we nearly there?

Are we nearly there? Dare we hope we may soon be able to actually meet instead of virtually meet..? Who’d have thought we would come to look upon such a simple thing as meeting-up for a coffee as something so special…something to really look forward to? Or being able to hug each other, or even to be close enough to touch on the elbow as a sign of caring? Who’d have thought…..?

Here’s something that WE KNOW…Jesus said, ‘I will be with you always, to the end of time’ (Matt.28:20) What comfort this is to a tired and thirsty soul. George MacDonald said, ‘We have to live in the present moment because we can do nothing about the past and God is doing everything about the future.’

‘O God, help me to live one day at a time. Not to be thinking of what might have been. Not to be worrying about what may be. Help me to accept the fact that I cannot undo the past and I cannot foresee the future. Help me to remember that I will never be tried beyond what I can bear, that my Father’s hand will never cause His child a needless tear, that I can never drift beyond Your love and care.’ William Barclay

Keep on keeping on, Ladies, we are nearly there…

Christian Aid has sent this request for prayer…’Millions of people have been evacuated from their homes in India and Bangladesh due to Super Cyclone Amphan. But these life-saving efforts are being restricted because of the need to social distance. Raging winds of up to 120mph and 17 foot high waves have battered and damaged thousands of homes made with mud, tin and thatched roofs. Please pray with us for our global neighbours who have felt the destruction of Cyclone Amphan. Pray for their protection and safety during these unimaginable circumstances.’
