Note to branches

If they have not done so already, please could branch secretaries check that their service details are correct on our map. If anyone is unsure about how to add service locations please contact us, we will be happy to help or add them for you.

For branches who have not yet placed their order for 2024 and who do not have the green report form, here is a PDF version: Report Order form – 2024. If an order is for free resources, such as orders of service or posters, you can email or telephone us at the office with your request.

Thinking about attending a service for the first time…

or getting more involved… please do join us – we have put together a short guide we hope you will find useful: quick guide to the 2024 service

One of the people who attended Leeds prep day had collated some Palestinian recipes, and has very kindly shared them with us: recipes

Let’s Talk with WDP Palestine

Many of you have asked after the writing team for this year’s service. Towards the end of last year (2 December 2023) WDPIC hosted a Global Conversation “Let’s Talk with WDP Palestine” which they have posted on YouTube. It’s informative and answers many questions that some branch secretaries have been asking – we are pleased to share it with you here:

WDPIC also posted “Prayer for Gaza” , written by students and faculty at the Bethlehem Bible College (Nov, 2023) and shared by our sisters from WDP Palestine – WDPIC Facebook page.

WDP Palestine: Additional Prayer

World Day of Prayer Palestine has written the following prayer to go along with their 2024 program: Palestine – Additional Prayer

Background PowerPoint

NB from this year the presentation is a free resource for Branch Secretaries, downloadable from the Branch Sec. Area, and no longer available as a paid for CD. If anyone who is purchasing one of our WDP USB sticks would like us to preload it with the presentation, let us know, or we can also email you a Dropbox link.

We are very grateful to the Welsh committee for providing translations for the background presentation and script for 2024. Both are in the Branch Sec. Area – please contact us for a Dropbox link if you prefer.

A Welsh translation of this year’s Children’s Activity Sheet can be downloaded from the main resource area.

Message from the office

Our office opening hours are 9am-3pm Monday to Friday. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if there is anything you need – we are here to help you. The office is closed on Friday 1 March as we will be attending a WDP service.

Please remember that the order of service booklet is subject to copyright and therefore cannot be amended in any way. However, should you wish to do so, you can add time for extra prayers for current, local, national or international situations as the need may arise. We hope the day goes well for you all and we look forward to seeing your reports and photos!

Update from the office (28/03/24) – We are all very busy processing your offerings and orders. Please bear with us as there is a lot to go through – don’t be concerned if you haven’t heard back within the next few weeks. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Also, please see below a statement from Carole, our chair of trustees regarding the WDP writing team in Palestine – many of you have asked after them.

“Our sisters on the writing committee are all safe, though really challenged by the state of affairs in Gaza and on the West Bank. We continue to hold them in our prayers.”
