Link Day July 2023
Yesterday, 18 July, we met in London at St Andrew’s, Waterloo for our 2023 Link Day. The photo above is of the beautiful tree growing in the courtyard at St Andrew’s which felt poignant given the content of this year’s service.
Many thanks to those who travelled from all over the UK to join us, and to the National Committee who put such care and time into the day. For some NC members and Preparation Day organisers this was a first ‘in-person’ Link Day, so it was wonderful for all of us at the office to meet you and a joy to see Jean and Kathleen who are both former members of the NC. We are so grateful to Jan who gave a fantastic and moving talk about Y-Pray? and how she became involved in WDP through her mother – we had a lovely ‘full circle’ end to the day as our train drew near Tunbridge Wells…a woman sitting near us, realising we were from WDP, told us that her mother now in her 90s who she had just been visiting, used to be a branch secretary.
Special thanks to Linda for filming again: over the next weeks we will be adding video clips from the day to this page…so please check back in to have a look.
